Some kids grow outside the box.
That's where we meet them.

Honest, lived-in support for parents raising autistic and neurodivergent kids β€” sensory & food diets, gut-friendly nutrition, nervous-system tools, and a soft place to land for you. From Carly Singh, autism mum and advocate, sharing everything she's learning alongside her son, Jax.

Experience over noise. Curiosity over assumptions. 🌱

Experience over noise

The internet is loud. Carly shares what actually happened in her home β€” what helped, what flopped, and what she'd tell her past self β€” not recycled advice.

Curiosity over assumptions

Behaviour is communication. Meltdowns, food refusal, sleepless nights β€” each one is a clue about the body and nervous system underneath, worth investigating gently.

Beyond the obvious

Supporting a child means looking past the label β€” at gut health, sensory needs, environment, and the wellbeing of the parents holding it all together.

Carly's story

Not an expert on autism. An expert on showing up.

Carly didn't set out to build a page, a following, or a philosophy. She set out to help her son β€” and quickly discovered that the standard playbook wasn't written for kids like Jax. So she started asking better questions.

Why does his body react like this? What is this behaviour telling us? What haven't we looked at yet?

Those questions led her into the unglamorous, life-changing corners of parenting a neurodivergent child: gut health and nutrition, detoxing the home of things that were quietly making life harder, understanding the nervous system, and fighting through the barriers every parent of an autistic child knows too well β€” the waiting lists, the school meetings, the "he doesn't look autistic" comments.

"I'm not here to hand you answers. I'm here to hand you the questions that changed everything for us."

Along the way she learned the hardest lesson of all: you cannot pour from an empty parent. Her own mental health β€” grief, burnout, guilt, hope β€” became part of the work. Now it's part of everything she shares.

How Carly can help

Start where it hurts most today.

Pick what you're carrying right now β€” the list will narrow to the support that fits.

Personalised sensory & food diets

A written plan built around your child: the sensory input their body seeks across the day, plus a food plan that works with their safe foods instead of fighting them β€” textures, colours, gag triggers and all.

1:1 Β· Written plan + follow-up chat

Nutrition for neurodivergent kids

Gut health, gentle food swaps, and getting nutrients into a child who eats six things. Practical, judgement-free guidance from a mum who has lived the beige-food years β€” shared as experience, alongside your care team.

1:1 Β· 60-minute session + notes

Mental health support for parents

A held, honest space for the parent behind the parenting β€” the grief nobody warns you about, the burnout, the isolation. Peer support from someone who has sat exactly where you're sitting, and signposting when you need more.

1:1 or small circle Β· Weekly

Nervous system & co-regulation

Why "calm down" never works β€” and what does. Learn to read your child's states, build a regulation toolkit for them, and (the secret ingredient) steady your own nervous system so you can lend them yours.

Workshop Β· Parent + child tools

Parenting approaches that fit your child

Low-demand parenting, declarative language, connection before correction β€” translated from theory into school mornings and supermarket aisles. Find the approach that fits your actual child, not the imaginary compliant one.

1:1 Β· Approach audit + plan

Low-tox home reset

The gentle detox Carly documents on her page: simple swaps for cleaning products, fragrance, plastics and food storage that lighten the load on sensitive little systems β€” without spending a fortune or losing your mind.

Guide + room-by-room checklist

Breaking down barriers

School meetings, assessments, waiting lists, paperwork that speaks a different language. Get help preparing what to say, what to ask for, and how to keep going when the system says no β€” from a mum who kept going.

1:1 Β· Meeting prep + templates

Holidays & the real world

Airports, family gatherings, restaurants, school breaks with no routine. Realistic survival plans for taking your child's needs out into a world that wasn't built for them β€” including permission to do it your way.

How it works

Three small steps. No forms, no gatekeeping.

Send a message

DM Carly on Instagram (there's a message builder below to make it easy). Tell her what's going on β€” the messy, honest version is the useful one.

Have a real conversation

A relaxed chat about your child, your family and what you've already tried. No judgement, no jargon, no "have you tried a reward chart?"

Get a plan that fits your life

Walk away with something concrete β€” a sensory diet, a food plan, a regulation toolkit or a meeting script β€” built for your actual week, not an ideal one.

Keep growing

Little seeds, planted weekly.

🌱 The Sunday Seedling

Every Sunday, Carly plants one small idea on her page β€” a reframe, a question, a tiny experiment to try in the week ahead. Not a newsletter that guilt-trips you from your inbox. One seed. See what grows.

This week's seed: swap one "stop that" for "I can see something's hard right now" β€” and just watch what happens.
Last week: your child's safe foods are not the enemy. They're the foundation we build from.

Questions parents ask first

Is Carly a doctor, dietitian or therapist?

No β€” and she'll be the first to say so. Carly is a parent advocate sharing lived experience and carefully researched learning from her own journey with Jax. Her support sits alongside your child's professional care team, never instead of it. For medical, dietary or mental-health treatment decisions, always work with qualified professionals.

What exactly is a "sensory diet"? Is it about food?

Both, here. Traditionally a sensory diet is a planned menu of sensory activities β€” movement, deep pressure, quiet time β€” scheduled through the day to keep a child regulated. Carly pairs that with the food side: building nourishing plans around safe foods and gut health. Body and plate, together.

My child isn't formally diagnosed. Can I still reach out?

Absolutely. Many families wait years for assessment β€” your child's needs don't wait, and neither should support. Carly has been in the waiting-list trenches and can help you act on what you're seeing now.

I'm barely holding it together. Is this another thing to fail at?

No. Nothing here comes with homework guilt. Take one seed, try one swap, send one message when you're ready. The whole page is built on the belief that struggling parents don't need more pressure β€” they need company and a plan that fits real life.
